Welcome to the Ortu Gable Hall Student Wellbeing page.
Often, when young people are struggling, they are told to see a professional. They don’t often get much advice about how they could help themselves.
We're sharing these strategies with you to help you to manage your wellbeing. It’s up to you to decide what helps. If it works, keep doing it. If it doesn’t, stop and try something else.
These activities are not a substitute for seeing a mental health professional. Sometimes we need outside help and advice. Getting help is good. No-one should feel bad about it.
If you think you might need to speak to someone then you can call the school office or email:
WhoCanHelp@gablehall.com – an email address set up for our students. The email will go straight to the safeguarding team who can direct to appropriate sources of support or information linked to wellbeing.
Pastoral@gablehall.com – an email address set up for Parents/Carers. The email will go straight to the Pastoral team who will refer your email to the appropriate member of staff and ensure someone contacts you directly to deal with your concern.
Sometimes, despite our best efforts, we might need a little more help. This is a completely normal part of life and we will all experience times that are harder to manage alone.
Consequently, it is useful to know where to go to get the support you need. Below are links to pages packed with useful advice, activities and links to support in school and beyond.
