Remembrance Day 2023

Remembrance Day at Gable Hall School is an enduring tradition, serving as a poignant and exceptional way to honour the sacrifices of those who have served our nation. This year was no exception. On Friday, November 10th, the entire school community united in a solemn and moving service. Notably, the school's Governing Body joined in this solemn occasion.

Mr. Gary Lewis, Principal of Gable Hall School, expressed his profound appreciation for a service that was marked by thoughtfulness. He witnessed the heartfelt remembrance displayed by students who paid tribute to those who have bravely defended our freedoms and our democratic way of life. In his words, Mr. Lewis emphasised the importance of never forgetting the profound sacrifices made on our behalf.

In a touching statement, Mr. Lewis highlighted, "We will always remember the enormous sacrifices made every day by those who protect our freedoms. We unite to honour the fallen from across the world who gave their lives so that we could be free."

It is heartening to witness the active participation of today's young generation in Remembrance, underscoring the significance of this day and paying homage to those who have served.

This year's Remembrance Day at Gable Hall School was not only a powerful tribute but a testament to the enduring spirit of remembrance and gratitude for the sacrifices made by those who served our nation.
